The Universal Inclinometer replaces the Goniometer for quick and easy upper and lower extremity range of motion measurements.  It is easily adjusted at the initial position so the final reading is the range of motion.  It also is fluid damped to permit fast, accurate readings without waiting for oscillations to damp out. The Universal Inclinometer standard or short base is ideal for small surfaces like the hand.  Two inclinometers with the standard base can be used for back range of motion.  However it is recommended to use the Back Range of Motion Instrument (BROM) which is designed for ease of use and accuracy. The Universal Inclinometer extension arm is ideal for longer surfaces like the arm and the leg.  The longer base provides a more stable contact and thus a more accurate reading.
