Services > ImpairmentAssessment™

Determine Permanent Impairment Rating on the basis of existing medical records. If there is adequate medical information, many ratings of permanent impairment can be performed on the basis of a medical file review. With this service, you will receive our impartial assessment of the case including a written report. We are also experienced in translating impairment ratings into California Permanent Disability Ratings, and assessing Global Assessment of Functioning.

Difficulties in obtaining accurate impairment ratings? An easy and effective alternative approach is to have a treating or consultative physician provide you with the needed clinical data, and then have us utilize that data to determine any impairments and prepare a written report focusing solely on the impairment rating. You may then provide this report to the original physician for review and agreement. For us, the task of performing an accurate impairment rating is far easier than critiquing and explaining why a rating was erroneous. For you, this translates in lower costs, less effort and more efficient case resolution. Compare this to the conventional approach of obtaining an erroneous rating, reviewing that rating to determine it is erroneous, critiquing that report and developing a thoughtful report explaining the issues, and then attempting to have the physician revise the erroneous report (either through letters or deposition); this conventional approach is often time consuming and costly. It is far more efficient to obtain an accurate rating in the first place, one that the treating or consultative physician is likely to agree with.
